Listen to this podcast

Debt Podcast for Wednesday, October 26, 2005.

You're listening to the Debt Podcast with bankruptcy and consumer law attorney, Jay Fleischman.

"We want information."

At the Debt Podcast we'll give you all the information you need to help you learn more about consumer issues, credit reporting, dealing with debt collectors, keeping yourself out of debt, increasing your personal wealth, and bankruptcy and debt relief options.

"Do you have any experience?"

" No sir I have no experience, but I'm a big fan of money. I like it. I use it. I have a little. I keep it in a jar on top of my refrigerator. I'd like to put more in that jar. That's where you come in."

Send your feedback or questions to debtpodcast@gmail.com or check out the show notes at debtpodcast.blogspot.com.

And now, without any further adieu, on with the show.

Good morning everybody, I am Jay, and welcome again t the Debt Podcast. Thanks for subscribing. If you are listening to the podcast directly off of our website at debtpodcast.blogspot.com, or directly from the feeds at feedburner.com/debtpodcast, why don't you just go ahead and subscribe. You can go into iTUnes and do a search for Debt Podcast, or of course you can always download iPod or drag it into your favorite RSS feeder. You can pick up our XML links at the website at www.drlcny.com. That's my website for the Debt Relief Law Center of New York. You can also check out the show notes at debtpodcast.blogspot.com If you've got any questions about this show, or any other debt or consumer related inquiry, you can send an email to debtpodcast@gmail.com. Lots of you have been doing that, and I really appreciate it. It's always gratifying to know there are folks out there whose lives are being changed by this show in some small way. Or large way, depending on how your life's been changed.

Anyway, so today is Wednesday, October 26, and in a few hours I'm going to be flying out of JFK and into downtown Minneapolis where I'm going to be attending the National Consumer Law Centers annual conference regarding fair credit reporting act, fair debt collection practices act, and new bankruptcy stuff that's going on. New rules that we're dealing with with respect to the new law. A bunch of other issues, lemon law, auto dealer fraud, consumer class actions, consumer matters in general, so I'm sure I'll have a lot of information for you next week.

Today we're going to do a shorter cast than normal, or maybe a longer cast than normal, depending on how long you get me talking. We're going to talk about the wisdom of doing balance transfers. Every day millions of people receive offers for balance transfer in the mail. Put your high credit card interest rate to this low credit...

The financial investments very tough to decide that where we should actually invest. I hope there is not so many good firms where we can trust and invest the huge amount. The things shared through the podcasts would be valuable for many people.

Debt is one thing that surrounds us all. It can lead to a lot of troubles but has become a necessary evil. For those immersed in debts, there are always lawyers who can help in need. Although, that does not encourage people to think of more debts. They have to make sure that they can pay off anything taken as a debt.
