You're listening to the Debt Podcast with bankruptcy and consumer law attorney, Jay Fleischman.

"We want information."

At the Debt Podcast we'll give you all the information you need to help you learn more about consumer issues, credit reporting, dealing with debt collectors, keeping yourself out of debt, increasing your personal wealth, and bankruptcy and debt relief options.

"Do you have any experience?"

" No sir I have no experience, but I'm a big fan of money. I like it. I use it. I have a little. I keep it in a jar on top of my refrigerator. I'd like to put more in that jar. That's where you come in."

You can pick up our XML links at the website at www.drlcny.com. That's my website for the Debt Relief Law Center of New York. You can also check out the show notes at debtpodcast.blogspot.com If you've got any questions about this show, or any other debt or consumer related inquiry, you can send an email to debtpodcast@gmail.com. Lots of you have been doing that, and I really appreciate it. It's always gratifying to know there are folks out there whose lives are being changed by this show in some small way. Or large way, depending on how your life's been changed.

Anyway, so today is Wednesday, October 26, and in a few hours I'm going to be flying out of JFK and into downtown Minneapolis where I'm going to be attending the National Consumer Law Centers annual conference regarding fair credit reporting act, fair debt collection practices act, and new bankruptcy stuff that's going on. New rules that we're dealing with with respect to the new law. A bunch of other issues, lemon law, auto dealer fraud, consumer class actions, consumer matters in general, so I'm sure I'll have a lot of information for you next week.

Today we're going to do a shorter cast than normal, or maybe a longer cast than normal, depending on how long you get me talking. We're going to talk about the wisdom of doing balance transfers. Every day millions of people receive offers for balance transfer in the mail. Put your high credit card interest rate to this low credit...
