It's Friday, February 9. Great day today, even though it's a little overcast here in Georgia today, but still a great day nonetheless. It's Friday. How can any Friday be bad? But I've got a really special show for you today. We're going to be talking about something that I think most people are scared to talk about. It's economic indicators. A lot of us you know will listen to the nightly news, they will you know read the newspapers and we'll see a lot of these things talked about, but we don't really know that these terms and numbers mean that are presented to us all the time in the financial media. So we're going to try to clear that up for you today. If you're just brand new to the show because you got your iPod for Christmas, or your mp3 player, I want to welcome you. This is the Money Guy podcast. Our whole purpose is to restore order to your financial chaos. We've been doing this for over a year now. We're one of the first people that broke ground on this whole podcasting venture, if you can believe that, being only a year old. We're the old guys, you know, in a world with like uTube and all these other things that is worth $2 billion, you can understand how fast moving technology is these days. So, I guess it does make sense that we're the grandparents of this whole venture only being a little over a year old. If you want to contact the show, you of course can email me directly. That's firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also check out our website, it's money-guy.com, where you can also sign up, typing your email address on the left-hand side of the website and you can get updated emails every time we publish a new show, and it will send you out show notes with links to your email address so it makes it super easy for you so you don't even have to take notes while you listen to the show. If you're one of those MySpace people out there, you know, the freaks out there on MySpace, so if you're an old person listening, you probably think all of us out there on MySpace are weirdoes. But it's not the truth. It's actually a great networking organization where you can go out there and meet friends, pass notes between each other, and if you want to look us up on MySpace, you can go to myspace.commoneyguypodcast. Go check us out on that.
But let's jump right in. When, and I want to tell you I've used some research for today's show. I've used the research from the Consumer Reports Money Advisor newsletter. And I actually subscribe to this newsletter and think it is the best thing since sliced bread. It really is good pertinent information. I think it's even better than, I used to be a big subscriber to a lot of these financial publications, I don't want to use their names, cause I, you know, I want to stay on their good terms. But there's a lot of these household names that are great financial magazines, but you really have to read through a lot of pages of advertisements and everything else to get to the really good meat of financial data. It's not the case with these...
