Listen to this podcast
It's Business Success Tips with your host, Paul, Lee, special guest, Jim, who's with us now. We still have our Brazilian, Brian.
Brazilian?
New Zealand. I don't know.
Hey, you're at least in the right hemisphere.
Somewhere, and Andy's getting out of the bathroom. Are you back Andy? Are you going to join us for the show?
I'm here.
Thanks for being here.
You're welcome.
So, our listening audience probably knows all of our backgrounds. They don't know Brian's probably.
They know Brian's, they heard it on the last show.
That's right.
He's been sitting there for a whole week.
I know.
I had to go to the
That's right. He's been waiting for this show. So Brian is an investment counselor in New Zealand. Right? And he does investments on the street, so to speak. To the small investor.
And he likes going to farmers.
That's right. He likes farmers and goats. We talked about that too. OK.
But this show really isn't about Brian, is it?
It's not. This show's about Jim. Ok. So
And I know our audience doesn't know what Jim does.
Doesn't know what Jim does. Ok. So, Jim, since, why don't you tell, give us a short resume thing.
Ok. Let's see, so I'm a teacher of transcendental meditation, as taught by Maharshi Myashogi, and I became a teacher of TM in 1971 and I've written 26 books including with Hari Sharma and Dr. Rama Kant Mishra a book called the Answer to Cancer that's really the answer to disease. And I've also written books about, like the Microsoft Excel Bible, and a lot of computer books, and
You've written several Dummies books, right?
Yeah, yeah. I've written five books in the Dummies series, Omni Pro for Dummies, sold 100,000 copies. That was the most fun.
We got to do a podcasting for dummies.
Aren't they all that way?
He was the guy we talked about last time, we may write a book, and I was thinking we could title it How to Quit Your Job for Dummies and be a consultant, or something.
What are you guys talking about the Dummies series? I'm not familiar with the series of books.
That's because you don't read.
You only look at the Idiot's guides.
I'm sorry, Lee, I'm busy reading the encyclopedias.
Ok, they're the yellow ones with the funny guy on the front. So you've written lots of books, and a lot about computers, right?
A lot of computer books. And I have a PhD in English
From someplace.
From Northwestern University. I made it to national
Oh my god we have two PhDs in the same room, I am so impressed.
They have a football team, so they count.
Yeah. Big 10.
Ok. So, our distinguished guest,
You know what they need to do, they need to do Cliff notes for Dummies. That would be the greatest book ever.
It would only be one page.
It would be a picture.
A picture.
And it'd come with crayons... |
