Hello everyone, and welcome! I'm very glad you could join us today for another edition of Small Business Trends Radio. This is Steve Rocinski. I'm the show's executive producer and today I'm your substitute host filling in for Anita Campbell, who's on vacation, I think, playing golf near a beach somewhere. So welcome, glad you're here.
I'm sorry to say that, again, I hosted in mid-May, that we're not going to have a Today's Trend segment, which is a regular piece Anita does to talk about a topic that's very trendful in line with her site, Small Business Trends. But Anita will be returning next week and I'm sure she'll have a terrific new trend to talk about. The topic of today's show is "All About Tapping into Google Adsense and Turning it into a Goldmine from your Website." We have with us Internet revenue expert, Joel Comm. He's going to reveal secrets behind the Google Adsense contextual advertising program, and how to make more than pocket change by putting these ads on your website. By way of introduction, which I will let him expand upon, Joel is truly an Internet entrepreneur who has been online for over 20 years. He's the creator owner of several successful websites, like RogueVillage.com, YellowDay.com and many others. He's also an author of many books including the best seller on Google Adsense, and you can find out more about Joel at his website, www.adsense-secrets.com. I now like to welcome our featured guest today, Joel Comm. Welcome Joel.

Yeah, yeah. Absolutely.
Isn't that usually what you do when the substitute comes in?
Like a substitute teacher. We'll be delinquents.
Yeah, I'll try to behave.
Ok. Great. Joel, why don't you start off and take us on a journey in your story. I mean we have a lot of different types of people who listen, so they like the business story, and then sort of a personal story about how you got to where you are, what you're doing today, and where you see yourself going in the future.
Well you know, like so many businesses, I kind of fell into this one accidentally. You could say I fell into the web. Back in 1994 I was reading a computer game magazine, I'm a hopeless computer game player from when I was a teenager. I'm 42 now, but I still enjoy them. I was reading a magazine and I was thinking to myself, I'll bet these guys get all the free software that they want. And to make a long story short, I started my own software review publication in the Dallas area, printed up a thousand copies and it was like Christmas every day at my house because the software, the free software kept coming and coming. And in 1995 the web really began to...
