Listen to this podcast

Hi this is Joan and this is episode 41 of The Prosperity Show. Thanks for tuning in. Today we're going to talk about how one simple shift that you can make internally can really change your financial position. But before we get to that, our main site is prosperityplace.com where you can find lots of free information about improving your relationship with money and yourself. If you'd like to contact me, and I love to hear from our audience, you can write to joan@theprosperityshow.com. That's really the best way to reach us. Joan@theprosperityshow.com.

Today we're going to talk about the simple shift that I said can really change your financial position. And what it is, is looking at your life as a series of habits. And nothing more than that. Can you imagine if everything about you is a habit. Now, I have to tell you that I feel that our physical being, the personality, the physical body, this is kind of the vehicle that we're riding around in during our sojourn on the earth plane. The kernel of us, that deep, deep kernel of us isn't physical. It's something much deeper than that. And we take on this physical persona in order to do whatever it is we're supposed to do in the world. And when we come into the world, we obviously come in with certain family of origin patterns, we're born into a certain family. Some of us get to get raised in that family, others don't. We have our different life experiences. And as babies we react to those experiences without much decision making. We just do what comes naturally, so to speak, and we never examine our options. So the person that we become is the result of our response that we've made to the world around us. And we make that same response over and over again. And we learn a lot of what we learn from the people around us. And really what we become is this collection of habits. Our habits include our beliefs, including our spiritual beliefs. Those are just habits. We tend to get those from the family or origin. If you're born into a Jewish family, or a Christian family, or a Catholic family, those are the spiritual rituals you're going to learn and the habit you're going to get for communicating with whatever you might consider a higher power or not. Some people, I know people who are brought up in atheist families, and it's the habit of the family to be that. So how you think is a habit. How you respond emotionally to life is a habit. Everything about you is a habit. And remember what we've said in past shows. And that is, that your financial position is congruent with who you are. Let me say that one more time...
