Listen to this podcast

Hi this is Joan and this is episode 46 of The Prosperity Show. Today we're going to talk about the law of attraction. But before we get to that, our main site is prosperityplace.com, where you can find lots of free information about improving your relationship with money and yourself. And my book, "Build your Money Muscles - Simple Exercises for Improving your Relationship with Money." If you want to contact me, my address is joan@theprosperityshow.com. And I love to hear from people.

So today we're going to talk about the law of attraction. The other night I saw a movie that is actually not in theaters, it's call "The Secret," and it's available at thesecret.tv. You can either watch it online or get the CD, and it's kind of making the rounds now. One of my friends had a showing at her house the other day, and basically The Secret is, and I won't keep you in suspense. The Secret is the law of attraction, which you may or may not have heard about. Basically the law of attraction states that what you can conceive and what you really believe you're going to get, you will. You don't have t know how it's going to come, or where it's going to come from, you just have to clearly create it in your mind, and by creating it that way you're actually bringing it into, you're attracting it into your life. There is a little caveat with that-be careful what you wish for. And it really does work. Some of the time. I'm going to say that it really does work some of the time. The theory is that it works all of the time. And that's what I want to talk about today. What makes it work all of the time or not?

The movie I found extremely inspiring because it really validated a lot of things that I believe. People in the movie included Bob Proctor and Joe Vitali, Jack Campfield and Esther Hicks, who channels the entity Abraham. I won't go into the whole concept of channeling now, but a lot of the things that she talks about has to do with this, or he talks about, depending on how you look at it, has to do with this law of attraction. And they told stories about things that they had wanted to bring to them, things they had wanted to have happen, that they manifested by believing in this law of attraction. And I have seen it happen in my own life, on a number of occasions. Many occasions where I really wanted something and I really believed it was going to come, and it did. And I didn't know how. I remember when I was first coming out of my really sick time. I had had some very extreme surgery in my abdomen, which had been, given me problems for 20 years and I was in a very weakened state, could barely function. And I just had this idea that I really wanted to get my own house. And I really could see that a house was going...

The venture was actually triggered by Bowie, that has actually long fostered the tip of a come back to the sign he performed onscreen in the Nicolas Roeg movie based upon American article writer Walter Tevis' 1963 sci-fi book.
