Unlocking Your Creative Power

Hi this is Joan and this is episode 6 of The Prosperity Show and it's good to have you here today. Our main site is prosperityplace.com where you can find lots of information about improving your relationship with money and yourself. And today we're going to start a different phase of what we've been doing on this podcast. Up until now we've kind of been setting the stage. We've talked about some of our basic ideas, our basic beliefs about how people create their financial situation. And some of the feelings that, the main feelings that are behind financial situations, and the one thing which really keeps people from moving forward, which is what I call the identity factor, which is the mechanism that kicks in as you start making change, or even contemplating change, because it's a threat to who you are and your position in your peer group, and your position in your family or origin. And what we're going to start talking about now is ways for you to unlock the creative power within you to create whatever you want. Because if it's true that you create your own reality, and I do believe that's true. Not all by yourself because you've got all these people around you and unseen forces and the forces of the universe, whatever you want to call them. We don't do it alone, but you are an integral part of creating your reality. And from my point of view, the goal is to become a conscious co-creator. To understand why you're doing what you're doing and to do it with a level of consciousness that allows you to choose your destiny. I don't think we're victims of life and victims of life's circumstances. I really believe that we get a chance to look at the hand we've been dealt, and trade in some of the cards. I know that I was, when I was in my early 30s I was sick and depressed all the time. My life was an absolute disaster. I just couldn't get it to work. And now I live a really terrific life. And so I know you can make the change, but I also know that it's not quick and easy, and that you really have to be conscious about the decisions you make, about what you're creating in your life. If you want to take the victim position, if you want to say, well these things happen to me. Then this probably isn't the program for you to listen to, cause I think that we really get to choose our lives. And I know that you can come up with lots of examples, and say, well are they responsible for this? I'm talking about adults, actually I think that we all contribute to our life's stories, no matter what that circumstance is, we're very often affected by the world around us, the culture that we're brought up in, the family of origin, experiences, but we get to choose to step outside of the box that we've been brought up in and create...
