We're at the Netcast Studios again, and Andy's pointing his finger at me, which means it's that time of the night for Business Success Tips with Lee,
Course Andy, the finger-pointer.
Yeah, see my finger?
And my special New Zealand guest, from Wintertime
Yeah, no one told me his name beforehand.
That's right. Well Brian said he's actually a fan of ours, didn't you Brian?
Well we won't hold that against you at all.
So Brian, how many shows have you listened to, you can lie, if you want to.
No, I'm from the way back machine, man. I've been listening to you guys since, I think since listener 14, or something.
Oh, so you caught show 30 where the chicks called us and did obscene things. That was one of the greatest shows we ever did.
I don't even remember that.
That was in your living room, right Lee?
Yep, that was still back in my living room. That was the last one we did in my living room.
Before we went to the big studios at Netcast Central.
Maybe that's why she stopped calling.
Could be. So, I guess we're going to do online business consulting here today. Right?
I read your email, so, but since the fans out there, we've actually had what is it 20, 30, 30,000?
30,000 downloads. Yeah.
Which means Brian has downloaded it 30,000 times.
You guys are great!
And we are so proud.
So now, he said, we're burn, it's really hot, just in case you're interested. It's been running 105, 110, 115 here in northern California.
It's hot for anyone.
It's been the hottest season ever recorded history ever since they've been recording temperatures.
Global warning bullshit.
Global warming, bullshit. I know it's 144 degrees, but it doesn't really count.
How do you explain global warming if it's 100 whatever here, but Brian is freezing on the other side of the world?
What's the temperature there, Brian?
We don't operate in Fahrenheit down here, mate.
It's like 12 Celsius, or 11 Celsius.
So what's that, I'm not a conversion guy.
It's really cold.
You want me to get my little conversion meter? It's like 40, 50,
Isn't zero freezing?
Zero is freezing, yeah.
Zero is 32. So it's like 45 or something.
So if you take our temperatures, put it in between, the world is mild and nice.
That's right. It's perfect.
It's true. So Brian, why don't you give our audience a little background of your business, sort of you know, how it got started, the short version.
The sort version is I got a portfolio shares from my dad who is a stock broker and that gave me the opportunity to learn how to manage investing myself, and that went all right for a couple years, I managed to do well enough to quit my job.
What was your job when you quit, for all those who want to quit their job?
Yeah, it works all right.
Which job did you quit?
I wasn't doing much with my time, and I decided to start up a business around investing, and decided a share brokerage would be the way to go. But it's not your typical share brokerage...
